After a decade of owning and operating the Moon Keeper, we have decided to close our doors, as some of you know, the B&B/home is for sale.

 It was in January of 2000 that Chuck and I decided to leave our family and friends in Illinois and move to northern Michigan to run a B&B. It sounded like a fantasy and a lot of work, and it ended up being both! It is now 2010 – where has the time gone?

It has been such a joy living here – taking care of this beautiful property and this old, wonderful house. We always looked forward to the first sunny day we could sit on the side porch, and we also enjoyed waiting for the lake to thaw after a long snowy winter. We couldn’t wait to get out the Adirondack chairs so we could sit and stare at the lake, and always anticipated the beautiful flower gardens that came with the spring. And, as always…preparing for our first guest to arrive and officially starting our season.

We’ve loved every minute we have spent running the Moon Keeper. You, our guests, are so appreciated and you have left us with many happy memories that will long remain in our hearts. Thank you for helping making the Moon Keeper such a special chapter in our lives.
