There are many wonderful restaurants nearby each with its own unique style, such as Murphy's Lamplight Inn, Tapawingo, Rowe Inn, Grey Gables, and Terry's Place are a few to consider.
Great shopping...
You will have your choice of quaint specialty shops and art galleries in Alden, Bellaire, Elk Rapids, Charlevoix, Petoskey's famous Gas Light District and Harbor Springs. Or head to the "big" city of Traverse City for its downtown specialty shops or one of its two malls.

Golf... a different course everyday...
If you are a golfer, this is "golfer's paradise".  High Pointe, Antrim Dells, A-Ga-Ming, Grand Traverse Resort (two courses including "The Bear"), Shanty Creek (three courses including "The Legend"), and Boyne USA (five courses) are just a small representation of the courses available in the area.
